Duration: 24’

Pulses, fragments of melody, streams in constant movement, always at the edge of bursting, always repeating but never the same.

The title is derived from an excerpt of CAVE, my 2025 chamber opera, with a libretto by Sophie Fetokaki.

“Partition ran by me like a troubled stream
At the harvest, they came for the half facing west,
then for the half facing east
Each time at the barrel of guns.
They sang laments
Bidding my gnarled roots become legs
My silver bark flesh”

Written for Kammersveit Reykjavíkur, premiered at Dark Music days 2026.
